As some of you know, I share a bathroom with Barb Marley (my 8-year-old daughter). We live in an older home, so the master bathroom is a hell of a lot smaller than the hall bathroom (which is a dual sink bathroom), so when we originally moved in, Barb and I decided to share a bathroom due to more space. While there are MANY things I regret about that decision (all my nice facial products mysteriously disappear, my make-up products end up in the bathtub with the Barbie’s, and I can never get into the shower without stepping on some God forsaken Barbie shoe, Shopkin, or something else incredibly small that will one day likely cause me to slip to my death), it can be fun sharing a bathroom with Barb some days. We always seem to end up there together multiple times a day together, and it’s often where we have some of our funniest chats— or when I find her bathing Pablo the dinosaur in the shower….
A company called PlumbTile reached out to both Barb and I and asked us to create our DREAM bathroom. So, Barb and I got to sift through fun bathroom fixtures and design our little “Barb & Smash’s Dream Bathroom” (AKA: My Dream Bathroom — but don’t tell Barb.)
Seeing we live in San Diego, the above would be PRETTY FREAKIN AWESOME. I love everything from the simplicity of the designs to the neutral colors.
I love the Zucchetti faucets with the vessel sinks. I have a few friends who have these in their powder room bathrooms and they are stunning.
I think one of my favorite parts of a bathroom is the backsplash tile. I am a fan of the more textured and mosaic tiles, while Barb asked if there was “Dinosaur or mermaid tiles available.” I chose this SpecCeramics bathroom tile, while Barb chose mermaid tiles. Barb did ask why “the mermaid isn’t wearing a bra.” I told her that most mermaids don’t wear bras, that was just the Little Mermaid because King Titan was really strict.
Naturally, while on their site and in my ADD ways, I found some other really neat tiles, one that would look amazing in a kitchen called “Porcelanosa Tile” which is STUNNING. It would make for an excellent kitchen tile or bath retile.
Barb and I both opted for this Cheviot Drop In Cast Iron Tub for our dream bathroom. It’s quite stunning, right? I can imagine the mess Barb would make in that, but we are pretending for right now that Barb would be SUPER CLEAN in our new dream bathroom!
Barb and I were touring model homes not too long ago and saw some truly amazing bathrooms. Seeing we’re on the topic, I thought I’d throw a few out there. PlumbTile.com meets all your needs for a custom, unique, bathroom (or kitchen) design and re-design, so check them out!
Isn’t that a STUNNING master bath?
