Do you have something that you cannot leave the house without?
A weird factoid about me: I never travel without scissors. Bizarre, I know. Try it on your next trip and tell me if you can ever travel again without scissors. (You can’t.)
When I leave the house for quick trips though, I typically take the more obvious items (car keys, wallet, etc.), but I also never leave the house without a watch on.
I am notoriously late. It’s never on purpose and it’s something that I am striving to be better at. No one likes a person who is late. My mom invites me over for dinner 30 minutes before everyone else so she knows I’ll arrive the same time as the rest of the guests. ha. Hey- I’m workin’ on it!
So, aside from my eyebrows being shaded in (another must after an unfortunate self-waxing incident…), I never leave the house without a watch.
I also have a watch addiction. I love watches–A LOT. Lately, I’ve really been into gold, so the majority of my jewelry is gold, as is the main watch that I wear.
However, JORD Wood Watches reached out to me and asked if I’d be interested in trying out one of their watches.
To be honest, I’ve looked up their watches several times. I love their style, their nature-hued tones, and the overall uniqueness their watches bring- because really, have you ever seen a watch anything like this? They really are one of a kind:
I told them that I’d LOVE a new watch from them (HAVE YOU SEEN THESE THINGS!?), but that I’d want to do something fun for my readers/friends, too.
So, JORD agreed and will give one lucky winner a $129.00 credit towards a JORD Wood Watch. And, that amount actually covers one of their watches too! If that one isn’t your style, you can use that credit and apply it to a watch that you may fancy a bit more! This is the watch that you can buy with a $129.00 voucher to JORD woodwatches.com – pretty amazing, right?
I selected a watch from the “Cora Series,” the “Cora Zebrawood & Turquoise” watch in Zebra Wood. This watch features sapphire crystal glass, deployment buckle with push button, swarovski crystal minute markers, a self-winding automatic drive system (that’s right, NO BATTERY!), among many other awesome features.
I selected this watch for a couple reasons:
- It has a small face. I have wrists that I jokingly refer to as “licorice wrists.” They are really small— so small, in fact, that Barb and I can share bracelets and watches. That is correct, I have the wrist size of an 8 year old. What can I say, God thought it’d be funny to give me freckles and small wrists, so I just laugh with Him.
2. The face of the watch! Look at the color! The teal/aqua mixed with the Zebrawood stands out. In fact, I loved this particular watch so much, I waited about 2 months for it to come back in stock so I could order this watch to do this giveaway!
A few facts about JORD Watches: Their watches are all made of unique wood ranging from Zebrawood to Purpleheart and Sandalwood. JORD also creates watches that are built to last. Each watch comes with a one year limited warranty, and “they aren’t just created for people who have some place to be, but some place to go.” JORD also uses sapphire glass in their watches, which is an added bonus as sapphire glass is the second hardest and most scratch resistant material on Earth.
Alright, now that you are well acquainted with all there is to know about JORD and my love for watches, let’s get to the details of the giveaway!
